The brief
Children's lines carry extra compliance: EN 71-3 migration of certain elements, small-parts assessment, and in some markets phthalate testing on printed surfaces. Reflective trim and chest straps are common asks.
The school calendar sets a hard delivery window, so the programme is planned backwards from the in-store date — usually with samples approved before Chinese New Year and bulk shipping in May or June.
