Buying guide
What parents look for in a kids lunch bag
Parents buy on three things: it keeps the food cold until lunchtime, it is easy to wipe out, and the child can open it alone. Specify a food-contact tested PEVA liner, a zip pull a small hand can grip, a name label window and a size that holds one sandwich box plus a drink bottle.
- Testing: food-contact migration on the liner; EN 71-3 or CPSIA where the market treats it as a children's product.
- Size: roughly 3–5 litres for primary school, larger for teens.
- Packaging: header card or hangtag ready for peg display in the back-to-school season.

Frequently asked
Do kids lunch bags need special testing?
The liner should pass food-contact migration testing, and children's products sold into the EU or US usually need EN 71-3 or CPSIA testing respectively. Reports are issued per model and market in your buying entity's name.
What size lunch bag is right for a child?
For primary school, a 3–5 litre bag holds a sandwich box, a fruit and a drink bottle and still fits inside a school backpack. Teenagers usually want a larger 6–8 litre tote or box style.
Can you print our own characters or patterns?
Yes, if you hold the rights to the artwork. Sublimation suits all-over patterns; screen print suits one- to three-colour logos. Licensed characters need the licensor's written approval before sampling.
Not sure which construction fits?
Send the end use, the landed target and the quantity. We come back with two or three candidate models and what each one changes — fabric, liner, foam and carton spelled out.
